Birthday, Fire Station Visit and Halloween!

At the St.Albert Farmer's Market they have the best face painter...

Ian celebrated his 41st birthday this year! Whoo hooo! We got little cupcakes for the kids to have so they could have 'cake'. Ian requested pie...so I picked one up from Fife and Dekel (a local pie and sandwich stuff that is completely awesome!!)

One of the local fire halls had an open house in September. They had one almost 2 years ago as well (I think there are pictures on the blog from that visit as well). Jackson wanted to wear his fireman costume.
Jessica had lots of fun too!
Jack was watching as they raised the big rescue lift as high as it would go!
Jessica was a little too happy running around the locker room...

Jessica wore the Dalmation Puppy costume for Halloween this year (Jack wore the same one 2 years ago). She did such a good job trick or treating this year - remembered to say thank you at almost every house! A few times she forgot to say 'trick or treat' and instead started with 'can I have a candy?'...lucky for her she's cute so everyone thougth it was funny...she could have kept going all night - her and her little friend A.J. had endless energy. Jackson and his friend Shelley (Shelley is in this picture as well, she is A.J.'s sister, and she and Jack have been buddies since they were 1 year old...apparently Shelley told her mom that she is going to marry Jack when they grow up!) both got tired about 1/2 way through the night!
Jack wore his Fireman costume. He also had a Bumblebee Transformer costume but decided he didn't like the mask so we went with the fireman! I think he just liked that he got to carry an axe.
Home after trick or treating. She got a massive bowl of candy...

It's been longer than a long time!!

I'm just going to post some up to date pic's of the kids from our summer vacation in Penticton this past July. Jack doesn't start school until next year (Sept 2012) so I have one last year to enjoy my little monkey! Jessica is growing like a week and she is a sweetheart...a very persistent, stubborn and creative sweetheart - but a sweetheart nonetheless!

Here is Jessica on her 2nd birthday!

Here is Jack on his 4th birthday!

Oh Jessica...this is a fairly typical smile I get for the camera...sigh...

The kids with their Great-Baba (who is celebrating her 95th birthday later this month!).

Jack and Great-Baba! (note...I realized after posting this that Jackson is the first born child of the first born child of Great Baba's first born child...(the coolness of this probably doesn't matter to anyone but me) so basically...my mother in law is the oldest in her family, Ian is the oldest in his family and Jackson is the oldest in his family...cool!).

This was the kids first introduction to life jackets and the lake in Penticton.
